Liberty Caps

Did liberty caps influence our English and Celtic ancestors’ spiritual view of nature? Who knows! But for thousands of years, liberty caps have likely been resident around Stonehenge as they have a strong association with sheep. I wonder also if the shape of Merlin, The Magician’s hat is a representation of the liberty cap as the shapes are so similar. We may never know, but it is interesting to consider.
